WOW what a weekend! it's MAGIC MONDAY!


What was meant to be a recoup weekend turned into a couple of emergencies on Saturday and one on Sunday morning.
Saturday saw first timer's Cate and Karen from Turangi in for some acrylics. They were booked for a salon in town but somehow the booking was botched and they were left wanting... couldn't have that considering they were to attend a wedding that afternoon...BOOM they were stacking! Thank you ladies.
Sunday featured another first timer Eden for a set of white Frenchies. She had a work do to attend tonight and I was all booked for today so this is what occurred... clean and classic.
Today's ladies were all booked for Shellac manicure's but as is the norm, today was a series of acrylics and silver Frenchies in varying degrees: holo big glitz, chrome, reflector and holo polish... thanks for taking the mickey out of me ladies in my mask "laughter is the spice of life" even if you're the target (o;

Today was all acrylic sculpts with simple Gelish/LED polish manicure and designs, or Frenchies in silver and 'paua shell effect' in blues... animal prints are always a favorite and where would we be without some glitz...
A truly wonderful week of awesome ladies, applications and happenings...

Trying to give yous what you want at the prices you want whilst jiggling the bookings to allow it, has lead to this final decision. Next was Waimarie: she's getting married tomorrow and she booked before Xmas. She wanted something subtle but wedding(ish) with a sparkle...
This is a full set of the Classic Pink & White Acrylic Sculpts; custom gel mix of white/silver glitz applied in a haze with silver sequin glitz for random feats... this is about as subtle and classic as a set of acrylics can be yet still appear wedding(ish) with the required sparkle...

Next in was the lovely Jan-marie Quinn from Bailey Quinn Hair Salon. Another great catch up with the busy lady... today we did her acrylic backfill and a lovely white Gelish overlay sparkle before the gel topcoat; a little glam to the busy lady's nails as most hairdressers will know, gems and embellishments are a hindrance to hands that are always in products and working with people's hair, so this was a nice little 'feel good' element.

To top off my morning session, in bowled the vivacious Olivia (Viv): today was her acrylic backfill followed by a LED polish design. As a lover of animal print and wanting to celebrate the Month of Love, I created this design for her in red-a-kill, vanilla creme brulee' and the ever present abyss black... red is for love; leopard print as her favourite print and vanilla creme brulee' heart swirls as a nod toward her 'man of interest'. So pleased you love them Liv was a bit worried cos throughout the design you didn't speak BUT when it was done and you said you were holding your breath because you were awestruck... glad to have zipped your gob for a 1/2 hour buddy hehehheee (o; see you next month xxx
